On Thursday, March 2, P.S. 222 we celebrated Read Across America Day. The day began at 7:30 am with a wonderful breakfast of pancakes with warm syrup, turkey sausage patties and fresh fruit for Grades K to 2. Students wore their pajamas and brought their favorite book to school. A number of parents came to their children’s classroom and read their favorite book to their child and their child’s classmates.
It was a day of fun and enjoyment as we celebrated Read Across America with our families, students and friends!
